Pastor Blas is currently serving at Good Shepherd as a missionary-at-large of the LCMS Sheboygan County Hispanic Outreach. Before coming to Sheboygan, he was a member at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Melrose Park, Ill., from 2012 to 2014 where he served as a lay person and started his pre-seminary courses. In 2014, he was a member of Cross Lutheran Church, Yorkville, Ill., where he was helping them to plant a new Hispanic Mission at Plano, Ill.

David studied for the ministry at Concordia Seminary, St Louis, Mo., including his vicarage at St. John Lutheran Church, Plymouth, Wis. He graduated from the University of Puerto Rico in Aguadilla, acquiring a B.S. in Environmental Technology, he also graduated from Moody Bible Institute in Chicago, acquiring a Bible certificate, and he acquired a Masters of Art from Concordia Seminary in St. Louis.

Currently, David leads Bible classes in Spanish and Spanish-language services every Sunday at Good Shepherd. Pastor Blas is married to Maria Blas, who works part-time as a secretary for Hispanic Outreach at Good Shepherd. He is the father of two sons: David, a graduate of Concordia University in Mequon, Wisconsin and Danavid, a student at Lakeshore Technical College in Cleveland, Wisconsin.
